Unleash the Power of WooCommerce for Your Online Store

WooCommerce, originally launched by WooThemes in 2011, was later acquired by the creators of WordPress, Automattic, in 2015. This powerful plugin has since become the go-to choice for millions of online store owners, with over 5 million active installations and a 4.5-star rating on WordPress.org.

Say Goodbye to Limitations and Hello to Flexibility

With WooCommerce, you can sell anything and everything, all while having total control over your store. Unlike proprietary platforms like Magento, which restrict you from modifying the code, WooCommerce allows you to customize and manage everything – even the tags on the header.

Unleash Your Creativity with Blog Pages and Pages Galore

With WordPress’s world-class blog editor, you can have the best of both worlds – an online store and a blog. Create other pages alongside your store and let your creativity run wild.

Keep Your Wallet Happy with No Monthly Subscriptions or Commissions

Forget about the hefty monthly subscriptions and commissions with proprietary platforms like Shopify. WooCommerce is free to download and use on any WordPress website.

Start Small and Scale Up Your Online Store

WooCommerce is the perfect choice for those starting small and dreaming big. From simple payment management tools like Amazon Payments to implementing SSL for better performance, you can easily build and scale up your online store with WooCommerce.

Is WooCommerce Cost-Free?

WooCommerce is an open-source plugin that’s free to download and use on any WordPress website. Of course, running your online store still incurs costs such as domain and hosting, as well as branding, marketing, and advertising expenses. However, with WooCommerce, you can create an eCommerce website for a fraction of the cost compared to other platforms.

Setting Up WooCommerce is a Breeze

Setting up your online store with WooCommerce is a hassle-free process, thanks to the plugin’s user-friendly setup wizard. So, say goodbye to complicated setup processes and hello to a seamless, quick setup experience.”

Here is an overview of the steps you need to follow:

Step 1 – Installation

Ready to take your online store to the next level? Start by installing the free WooCommerce plugin! For a smooth experience, we suggest starting with a default theme and no other plugins installed on your WordPress site.

To add WooCommerce to your site, go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins tab, and select “Add New.” Type “WooCommerce” in the search bar, and then hit “Install Now.” The plugin author should be Automattic.

Once the installation is complete, activate the plugin. WooCommerce will automatically launch the setup wizard, which will guide you through the key settings for your store.

Step 2: Follow the Setup Wizard

The setup wizard is your best friend for getting your store up and running quickly. It’s optional, but we highly recommend using it to configure important settings for your store.

On the first page, you’ll answer some basic questions about your store, such as your store’s address, country, and whether you’re setting up for a client. Don’t worry, you can change anything you set up in the wizard later on the WooCommerce settings page. So, let’s get started!”

Step 3: Select Your Niche

Choose the industry your store belongs to and hit “Continue”

Step 4: Choose Your Product Type

Now it’s time to decide what kind of products you want to sell – physical or digital.

But, if you want to offer subscriptions, memberships, bookings, bundles, or custom products, you’ll need to pay a little extra. These are premium options only.

Step 5: Share Your Business Information

The next screen requires you to fill in some important details about your business. Select the number of products you’re looking to showcase and let us know if you’re selling on any other platforms

Finally, you’ll see some optional add-ons that can make your life easier. While these tools are great to have, none of them are necessary to run your online store successfully.

Step 6: Select Your Store’s Style

Now it’s time to pick the perfect theme to showcase your products. With a variety of both free and premium themes available on WordPress, the possibilities are endless.

Our top recommendation is the Astra theme or its Pro version. The Astra theme is developed by Brainstorm Force, a company with over 10 years of experience, and boasts over 1 million downloads and a glowing 5-star rating thanks to its exceptional customer support.

What sets Astra apart is its seamless integration with various page builders, speedy loading times, and a multitude of high-quality templates. To enhance your online store experience, we also recommend using the Ultimate Add-ons for Beaver Builder or Ultimate Add-ons for Elementor plugin extensions. These plugins work effortlessly with page builders like Beaver Builder, WPBakery Page Builder, Thrive Architect, Elementor, Divi Builder, Brizy, and Gutenberg.”

Step 7: Install the Jetpack Plugin

The Jetpack plugin is optional, but it provides a range of features such as analytics, security, and more. To use it, a WordPress.com account is required.

Starting fresh? No problem! We highly recommend manual addition for your new store setup. This way, you have full control over every aspect of your product configuration.

Title and Description – Key to Success!

Start by giving your product a catchy name in the title section. Follow up with a comprehensive description that highlights the unique features and benefits of your product.

WooCommerce – Adding products made simple

Selecting the right product type is crucial, and it depends on what you are selling. WooCommerce offers you four core product types to choose from:

  • Grouped products
  • External or affiliate products
  • Variable products
  • Upgrade your Product Types
